Downloading and Unpacking the Distribution

The current release of 4x is 1.0.8, dated 25th February 2013.

When downloading via one of the links below, you might need to tell your web browser to save the target of the link into a file, rather than try to "display" it as a document.

The package is available in two alternative formats:

TAR archive (1.7 Mb):

ZIP archive (2.3 Mb):

Remember that you will also need to download and build the MJS Utility C Library.

Once you have downloaded the distribution, you will need to unpack it (preserving the full pathname of the contained files). This will create a directory called 4x containing the source files, manpages, et al.

You are now ready to build and install the software.
